Introducing our Company

History of LST a.s. (shareholding) company dates back as far as 1992 when transformation of the late State forests took place. By the 31st of December 2000 further reorganization of a group of several already private firms became a reality. This merger has thus taken on the shape and organizational structure plus all the operational objectives from the firm Lesní společnost Trhanov a.s., emerging as the economically strongest of the merger.

The cultivation of forests and logging which makes up for about 55 % of the total comapany’s turnovers is the main source of its enterprise. Production of finger glue jointed fixed boards makes up for about 22 % of total turnovers. Another important sphere is sawmill production, encompassing 23 % of all turnovers. The remaining enterprises as for example the sales of Forest gear, transport ect. are more or less secondary enterprises playing no essential role in the company’s economy.

Stable position on the wood market and primerly development of sawmill industry is the goal of our management, projected for more then 50 % of total firm’s turnover.
